Thankfully, publisher Bandai Namco has come forward to set the record straight:
Some may choose to pronounce the game differently, but Bandai has now made it official. The above is the proper pronunciation of Dragon Ball FighterZ definitively and without any debate.
With the game releasing this Friday, fans are excited to be able to play as all their favorite Dragon Ball characters, fight on a 2.5D fighting ground, and to go Super Saiyan. Players who are familiar with the show and manga should recognize every character, every fighting stage, and every sound in the game.
Bandai Namco released the beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ on January 14th and 15th and fans of the Dragon Ball series seem to have been enjoying playing as some of the most iconic characters like Goku, Vegeta, and Hit. The fighting game’s roster is ever expanding and with the possibility of more characters and content coming out with the game’s Season Pass, the likelihood of more favorites coming is always something for the fans to look forward to.
With more characters comes the possibility of customization; Dragon Ball FighterZ has added Loot Boxes in the form of Z Capsules which, like it or not, propels the game forward into the microtransaction trend. However, Dragon Ball FighterZ’s loot boxes will not require real money. The Z Capsules only offer cosmetic items, but the exact contents have not been released yet. With the game coming out so soon, players will know how they can customize their characters in the coming days.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the first big titles coming out in 2018 and the anticipation for the release seems to be overwhelming.
Dragon Ball FighterZ launches Friday, January 26th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
